Why Do I Write?
So, it’s been a few months since I started writing, and I often find myself wondering: why do I write? I tried to come up with a single purpose or a clear viewpoint, but that never worked for me. I have quite a few reasons for writing and believe it’s important in life! Writing offers many benefits, and I’ll share some of the top ones from my perspective.
Sharing Personal Experiences
I try to write about my personal life experiences so that I can share my journey with others. By doing this, people around the world might gain some insights, connect with another human’s story, and perhaps make their own journey happier or more exciting by relating to my writing or finding something they need in it.
Leaving a Legacy Through Writing
Who knows? Long after I’m gone, my blog will remain—a timeless record of my journeys, preserving them for others to discover and connect with. Maybe 100 years from now, someone could read about another human’s story from 100 years ago and feel a sense of connection—how amazing is that? For example, I might write about a sudden, spontaneous drive I took that led to a wonderful discovery. Why wouldn’t I share that with people on Earth?
The Birth of Google Pin Drop Adventures
When I first bought my car, I had this idea of taking random journeys. I’d drop a pin somewhere near the shoreline on Google Maps or Apple Maps and drive there to explore. That’s how the “Google Pin Drop Adventures” section of my blog came about! Through this, I’ve visited so many places without any planning. These spontaneous visits, combined with the thrill of discovering the unknown and the beauty of nature, make me feel truly alive. Sharing these experiences could encourage others around the world to try something similar. Who knows? They might enjoy it as much as I do!
Inspiring Others to Explore
By sharing details about the places I visit, I hope to inspire others to travel, plan visits to these locations, and experience the same thrill. Why not encourage the world to live in the moment and appreciate the joy of discovery?
Feeling Alive Through Spontaneity
I’ve heard that when we’re underwater, doing scuba diving or something similar, we become intensely aware of each breath. Yet in daily life, we often forget about the simple act of breathing and living moment to moment. That’s why taking these kinds of spontaneous journeys can remind us to feel alive and be present.
Expanding Beyond Travel
Initially, I thought my blog would focus only on places, hidden gems, and travel. But I eventually decided to include life experiences about other topics as well. For example, I once tried to improve my sleeping habits. After succeeding, I wrote about how I did it, hoping it might help others facing similar difficulties. Small adjustments can make a big difference!
Capturing Once-in-a-Lifetime Moments

Then there was the time I saw the aurora at Willow Wharf Park. It was a sudden plan, and I thought, why not share which app helped us discover that the aurora would be visible from Toronto? Others could use this information next time and witness the wonder for themselves!
Inspiring Museum Visits Through Dinosaur Discoveries
Dinosaurs have always fascinated me—they lived 65 million years ago! When I saw dinosaur bones and remains at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), I uploaded some photos. This way, people interested in dinosaurs could see these images and perhaps be inspired to visit museums. You never know how your experiences might help someone else!
Building Global Connections Through Writing
In today’s internet age, technology is bringing the world closer together. I want people to feel connected, explore new places, and meet new people. Sharing my visits and photos allows others to discover these locations and might inspire them to visit. Who knows? It might make the world a happier, more connected place, even if just a little bit.
Preserving Memories Through Words
Another reason I write is to preserve my own memories. I store pictures from my travels, and later, I can revisit those moments through my blog. Seeing old photos can trigger feelings of joy and bring back small, often-forgotten moments of happiness. By writing about how I felt in those moments, I can keep those memories alive.
Helping Others Through Shared Experiences
Finally, let’s consider another perspective: if I experience something in life—whether it’s something I tried, a life lesson, or even a product I used—sharing it might help someone. That, to me, makes writing worthwhile.
The Joy of Writing
Over these months, writing has become an activity I truly enjoy. It’s all about documenting one’s life experiences in a single place so others can connect, feel inspired, and see life from a different perspective. Every human thinks differently, and writing helps connect with your inner self. It’s a wonderful skill to articulate your thoughts and feelings through writing.
The Positive Impact of Writing
Continuing to write also improves your skills and has a positive impact on life. Writing encourages self-improvement, inspires travel, helps others through shared experiences, and fosters happiness. It sparks creativity, enhances focus, and improves time management and productivity.
Writing to Make the World Better
Looking back at the positive outcomes of writing, I feel motivated to keep documenting my experiences—whether it’s about places I visit, useful information, or product reviews. Writing allows me to contribute a little to making the world a better place, one story at a time.
